Smothered Chicken with Creamed Spinach Bacon And Mushrooms

Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 6 slices of bacon, chopped
- 8 oz baby bella mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 cups fresh spinach
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 tsp thyme
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
Instructions:
- Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
- In a large skillet, cook bacon until crispy. Remove bacon and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add mushrooms and garlic. Cook until mushrooms are browned.
- Add spinach and cook until wilted.
- Pour in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, thyme, and red pepper flakes. Stir until well combined.
- Return bacon to the skillet and place chicken breasts on top of the mixture.
